Welcome to OpenFlightPlan. Follow these simple steps to generate your first flight plan.

Step 1: Access the App

Visit openflightplan.io
✅ No download needed.

Step 2: Define Your Area

• Use the drawing tools to outline your area of interest (AOI) directly on the map.
• OpenFlightPlan automatically calculates the center coordinates and area size.

Step 3: Set Parameters

Customize your flight: - Altitude (meters or feet) - Speed (m/s or mph) - Front overlap and sidelap - Camera settings (interval, FOV)

Step 4: Generate the Flight Plan

Choose the direction: - North-South - East-West

Click Generate to build your waypoints.

Step 5: Download and Fly

• Export your grid as CSV or KMZ
• Load into your preferred flight app
• Launch your mission!
